Kathie Lee Gifford (born Kathryn Lee Epstein, August 16, 1953) is an American television host, singer, songwriter and actress, best known for her 15-year run (1985–2000) on the talk show Live with Regis and Kathie Lee, which she co-hosted with Regis Philbin. She has received 11 Daytime Emmy nominations and won her first Daytime Emmy in 2010 as part of The Today Show team.
This morning, Regis Philbin said goodbye to his “Live! With Regis and Kelly” audience for the last time. Kathie Lee, who hosted the show with Regis for 15-years before she was replaced by Kelly Ripa, was in attendance to watch Regis’ last day on “Live!”
MSNBC reports that Kathie Lee co-hosted “Live!” between from 1985 through 2000. Kathie Lee wasn’t a part of Regis’ final show, but she talked about Regis’ last day and the 15-years she spent with him on “Live!” during “Today.”

Kathie Lee said:
“Regis and I had something so magical for so many years that I left TV thinking I’ve done the best 15 years of television I can personally ever do and that’s why I thought I’d never go back. Until I met Hoda… And I said to the producers, ‘What [Hoda] and I are feeling now in our show is so reminiscent of what Rege and I felt like the first couple years we were together.”
Of course, it wasn’t easy for Kathie Lee to give her thoughts on Regis. Not because she was choked up (which she was) but because she was running from one studio to the next.
